Plastic Float

2010.05.03

In practical applications, plastic floats are commonly used in fishing nets, aquaculture cages, and buoy systems to support fishing equipment or mark navigational routes. In marine engineering, they are utilized in mooring systems, floating docks, or ocean monitoring buoys to ensure equipment stability under rough sea conditions. Furthermore, plastic floats also play a role in marine environmental protection, such as intercepting floating debris or serving as components of ocean data collection platforms.

Modern marine plastic floats are designed with an emphasis on durability and environmental adaptability, such as resistance to wave impact and long-term UV degradation. With growing concerns over marine pollution, recyclable and biodegradable materials for floats are gaining attention to reduce the environmental impact of plastic waste in the oceans.

Instructions for Use
1. Installation Methods
Fishing Net Use: Thread the float with rope or attach it along the top edge of the fishing net. Adjust the spacing and quantity based on the net type and water conditions.

Aquaculture Use: Secure the float around the perimeter of aquaculture cages, net enclosures, or floating platforms using ropes or pipe fittings to provide stable buoyancy.

Liquid Level Control: Use the float in combination with a level sensor or mechanical switch. The float moves with the water level to actuate control components.

Marking Use: Use the float individually or as part of a buoy system suspended in rivers, lakes, or coastal waters to indicate navigational routes or safety warnings.

2. Fixing and Connection
Weather-resistant nylon ropes, stainless steel clips, or plastic fasteners are recommended for secure attachment.

During installation, ensure the float’s hole positions are aligned properly and securely tied. Do not over-tighten or damage the float structure.

Precautions
Avoid contact with high heat or open flames: Plastic materials may deform or combust at high temperatures.

Inspect for wear and tear regularly. Replace the float if it shows signs of cracking, aging, or reduced buoyancy.

Clean before use: Although floats are cleaned before shipment, it is advisable to rinse the surface with clean water before use.

Operating temperature range: Recommended usage temperature is -20°C to +60°C.
